My first InDesign project
This is my first double spread that I made in InDesign. Firstly, in InDesign we experimented inserting pictures I learnt in InDesign you cannot copy and paste because this will make the picture blurred and pixelated. Therefore we had to save our pictures then insert them by placing them into the rectangle we made using the rectangle tool, we could adjust how big the rectangle frame was by using the selection tool and we can control how big the actual image was by using the direct selection tool. However I learnt you have to hold down the shift button when doing this or this can make your pictures look pixelated, stretched and not professional. I lined up my pictures by using the columns that I created to give me an outline and a guidance to where to put my pictures and text in straight columns. I learnt that in design you first write your text out in a word document and not actually in InDesign, firstly i made 4 separate columns using the rectangle frame tool and then places my text into it and i was able to change the font and size of my text. I also learnt how to add and create a drop-cap at the start of my paragraph which makes my text look more professional.
