1st draft and layout in InDesign

This is my first draft layout of my article, I know that I will need to re-draft my article because it is already too long and won't fit on my DPS and there is also not enough space for my pictures. In indesign I have learnt how to make the basic layout of my product, I was able to set up a page by using measurements from another magazine to create my margins. I was able to download different types of fonts that I wanted to include in my article. I was able to create a drop cap, which shows the reader where to start reading.
I also learnt when writing my article that there are different narrative voices used in magazines to get different effects from the reader, I also learned about the sematic field and how you can use words associated with things such as war and add it into your text.
To improve I am now going to re-draft my article so I will have more room for my pictures and quote inserts, I am also wanting too add in a break out box so I will need to make space for that. When I have done this I will create another InDesign layout so I can see if I have more space for my pictures. I also need to insert different backgrounds and textures to my layout, this will make my article look my interesting and will inject energy to my DPS.
