In this week I was able to to do my photoshoot, I originally planned to have three models however in the end I only used one model. This is because I realised  having three models would be too time consuming and also confusing, by using the same model for all the pictures I wanted made the photoshoot a lot easier to do and more time effective.
The costume my model wore was a baggy shirt, ripped fish nets and some small shorts underneath, my model wore this outfit because the top doesn't let you see her figure and this shows that the media effects all types of girls big and small. She also wore fish nets to go with the theme alcohol abuse and drinking to much, but also to show that even though teenagers think they are grown up and adult like, the media can still influence and control teenagers like children, individuals were also vulnerable like children. The topic in my article is going to be emotional and I want the reader to also feel emotional and upset, therefore my I wanted my pictures to look dark so my model looked vulnerable. To do this I had to change the lighting of the room, I did this by turning the soft boxes down to a low light however it was still light enough to show my model.
This was how the studio looked first before I changed any of the lighting, these were test shoots to see if I liked how the images looked.
This is when the lighting was too dark because it was difficult to see my model, this also again was a tester shoot, I needed to check and see how my images looked because this is how they would look like in my magazine, I decided that the lighting was too dark.

This is when I liked the look of my lighting and this is the shade of lighting that I used.

The first pictures I started to take were the pictures about alcohol abuse. My article is about the effect of the media and my article has different sections, alcohol abuse was the first section I am basing a picture on.
I also made sure I was above my model, I did this because I wanted to make sure that my models eye line is below the middle margin, this makes my model looks vulnerable and that they are in danger. Therefore the picture links well to my article because I need my pictures to reflect and to match to what my article is about and I also need my pictures to set the tone of my article, this is why I have used a darker lighting and also my model looks small and sort of child like. She is sat in a child like position and looks small to show the venerability of her, the image is to portray how easily the media can hurt and effect individuals, like a child, the victims are easily influenced. The props I used for these pictures were old alcohol bottles and to make it seem more realistic I filled the empty vodka bottle up with water.

These are the next type of pictures I took, the props I used in these pictures were scales. These pictures are meant to represent the mental health illnesses the media can make an individual go through. In the first pictures I tried to fit my model into the whole photograph, however after I decided I didn't like how my pictures were looking like and therefore I decided to change it.
I started taking pictures like this, I preferred just having the models legs and the scales. However I decided I did not like this angle and therefore I took my photographs from another angle.

The next pictures I also took also link to the topic of mental health illness'. The type of poses my model used were effective because she has her head in her hands, she is covering her face. This shows signs of vulnerability and that she is scared. This also sets the tone of my article for the audience.
In this picture the props I used were a tape measure, most girls feel pressured about their weight from the media and that they need to be super model skinny and therefore these pictures represent that.
The last pictures I took were for my front cover, the model has lines on her face to show how the media pressures girls in wanting to chnage their appearance, therefore she's wearing gloves to replicate surgery. I had to take a lot of different pictures to get the right photo, this one it too close up.

In this photo my model is at the wrong angle. And therefore I didn't use this photo for my double page spread. This meant i had to take more pictures to get the right photo for my double page spread. Every time I took a picture i checked them to see if I liked the look of them, if I didn't i would either change the models pose and position or my position.
